TEGE ICT and Innovation Hubs

Creating Spaces for Learning, Innovation & Opportunity

TEGE promotes ICT and Innovation Hubs as practical spaces where young people and communities can access technology, develop digital skills, explore ideas, collaborate and work towards solutions to real-world challenges.

Our vision for an innovation hub goes beyond providing computers or internet access. We seek to create an environment where people can learn by doing, exchange ideas, develop confidence with technology and turn creativity into practical initiatives.

Through partnerships with communities, schools, institutions, development partners and other stakeholders, TEGE can support the establishment and strengthening of inclusive technology and innovation spaces that respond to local needs.

Why ICT & Innovation Hubs Matter

Access to technology is only one part of digital inclusion. Young people also need opportunities to practise their skills, experiment with ideas, collaborate with others and apply technology to challenges within their communities.

TEGE therefore sees innovation hubs as environments that connect learning with action. They can bring together young people, educators, innovators, mentors, community members and partners around shared learning and practical problem-solving.

Learn - Participants gain practical digital knowledge and skills that can support education, work, entrepreneurship and everyday life.

Create - Young people are encouraged to explore ideas, build prototypes, develop digital projects and experiment with technology.

Collaborate - Innovation grows through interaction. Hubs can provide opportunities for participants to work together, share knowledge and learn from mentors and peers.

Apply - Skills and ideas can be connected to practical challenges and opportunities within communities, education, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

Building Innovation Through Partnership

Sustainable innovation spaces require collaboration. TEGE welcomes partnerships that can contribute technology, equipment, connectivity, mentorship, training, technical expertise, programme support or other resources that strengthen opportunities for young people and communities.
